[Sitting cross legged outside a cafe, Hildr was scribbling in her pad. Writing the runes for 'DOG' over and over again, until she had 6 hounds of varying sizes and colour. It lifted her spirits to see their wagging tales, and big, bright eyes and smiles. There was nothing more heart warming to her, than to see a happy and loyal dog.]

Now, we shall need to have good names for you...

[So she says-- But she's writing 'dog' down just once more.]

Our dogs are well trained and follow their orders. These are dogs for war, not dogs for play, as we are men of war.

[Which is kind of an odd thing to say as you are getting kisses from half a dozen dogs at once, but still.]

I say that our dogs know very well who their masters are, regardless of who happens to fill their bowl that day. If a dog would betray you for a biscuit, it is not yours.

Send them for slaughter? We send our own children to war, why would we not send our dogs?

Though they are trained for hunting, they generally don't have to be trained to rip to shreds anything that would harm their masters.

We fight giants. They barely wear clothing, they do not wear armor.

[He shrugs.]

Not all dogs are the same. We have dogs as big as ponies bred to be fiercer than the wolves they descend from. I do not think we are speaking of the same thing.

Asgard, home of the gods. I suppose you're from Midgard? Earth?Things are a mite different there, I believe, though I haven't been in centuries.
